1. Prior experience and understanding of the education sector
2. Knowledge of sub-national programs in the education sector
3. Assist the team leader in collecting relevant information from Department of Education at provincial and district level
4. The consultant will need to be proactive and confident to speak with officials and staff of the ministry and other relevant organisations to gather necessary data for the projects in both Dari and English
5. Ability to analyse budgets and financial statements is key for this role
6. Contacts at Ministry of Education a significant plus

1. A university degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Affairs, Business Management;
2. 3 years of professional experience;
3. Good analytical skills and attention for detail;
4. Good written and spoken communication skills in English – both Farsi and Pashto required (both writing and spoken);
5. Self-organisational abilities with a good level of
computer proficiency;
6. A mature and independent personality with strong
interpersonal, team-playing and networking skills;
7. Ability to work under pressure with the team to
meet tight deadlines;
8. Computer literate, well versed with MSOffice Suite;
9. Willing to travel in various regions of Afghanistan
if required.
