Job Summary

We seek exceptional candidates for an Education Technology Officer role with experience designing, implementing and adapting AI Chatbots for Dari and Pashto. The Officer will work under the guidance of the CTO to help create a novel way to assist learners in Afghanistan in meaningful ways. Besides the AI Chatbot, the ETO will be responsible for managing the digital learning environment and other tasks in the technology team. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follows guidance from the CTO on adaptation and implementation of an AI Chatbot 
• Delivers code and adjustment as needed 
• Tests, documents and improves functionalities of the Chatbot 
• Helps prioritise functionalities for the Chatbot 
• Reflects on work processes and suggests better ones 

Job Requirements

• University degree in Information Technology, Education Science or a relevant field 
• Can code in relevant languages, including Python 
• Has worked and experimented with AI Chatbots in minority languages 
• Understands AI architecture (e.g., ChatGPT, OpenAI models) 
• Has experience with NLP tasks such as tokenisation, language modelling, and intent recognition 
• Ability to perform in a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team environment  
• Meticulous and precise working habits 
• Understands and is able to work according to an iterative approach 
• Experience with developing digital learning platforms is preferred
