Job Summary

To work under direct supervision of Project and Engineering Manager

including following Duties and Responsibilities noticed on Duties and Responsibilities section

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

To work under direct supervision of Project Manager:

Including but not limited to:

Design Review & Engineering Support

• Review and validate electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications for 500kV substations and transmission line works.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure that engineering deliverables are in compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE), utility requirements, and project specifications.
• Provide technical clarifications and support to site execution teams and subcontractors.

Project Planning & Execution

• Assist in developing detailed execution plans and work schedules for electrical activities, including equipment installation, cable routing, terminations, and testing.
• Ensure engineering activities are aligned with the overall project timeline and budget.
• Monitor progress on-site and ensure timely resolution of technical issues during execution.

Site Supervision & Technical Support

• Supervise and provide engineering support for the installation of HV/MV/LV electrical systems.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities in substations and along transmission lines.
• Ensure proper installation of major equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, disconnectors, and busbars.

Interface Coordination

• Coordinate between engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and construction teams to ensure smooth flow of work.
• Interface with client representatives, consultants, and local authorities for technical matters, approvals, and inspections.

Material & Equipment Management

• Support the procurement process by reviewing technical submittals, datasheets, and vendor drawings.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and verify compliance with approved specifications.
• Conduct technical inspections of received materials at site or warehouse.

Substation-Specific Responsibilities

• Review and ensure proper design and installation of protection, control, metering, and automation systems.
• Support system energization activities and final commissioning of substations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering records, calculations, and reports.
• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
• Prepare as-built documentation and final handover packages.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Electrical Power Engineer
• At least 5-10 years of experience in similar position
• Having experience in substation or transmission line is an advantage.

Qualifications

Having patience while working and good relationship & communication skills is a plus
