Data Collection: responsibility to implement the data collection and analysis part of the emergency response project in line with the budget, logframe and proposal.
· Coordination: Represent Medair in national and provincial coordination of emergency interventions.
· Consortium Management: responsibility to represent Medair within the consortium and ensure good communication, coordination and reporting within the consortium
1. Data collection and analysis
- Develop and set up a data base to collect monthly data on key humanitarian indicators for the consortium across 6 provinces
- Train the teams (in Medair and partner NGOs) and roll out the methodology, questionnaire and data collection
- Oversee the monthly data collection and data entry
- Support the consortium manager in development and implementation of other data collection systems (IDPS, Hazard mapping, other ER actors)
- Support the consortium manager in analysing the data collected within the ERM.
2. Coordination
- Represent Medair in coordination meetings in Kabul
- Support the Consortium Manager in the national and provincial coordination of emergency interventions
- Support the Consortium Manager in coordination, sharing and training with other ER NGOs
3. Consortium Management
- Maintain regular contact with the Consortium Manager in Kabul and ensure good cooperation between the different consortium partners
4. Security Management:
- To be responsible for the safety and security of project assets on site of operations
- To employ health and safety operational approaches during all project activities.
- To adhere to the security guidelines employed by Medair on site, enroute, and ensure all security procedures are followed.

5. Public relations:
Contribute to the needs of the C&FR team by supplying Human Interest Stories, web updates etc. to HQ as time permits
Higher level qualification in a technical field
- 2 years work experience post qualification
- 1 year experience in disaster response
- Fluent English (oral & written)
- Willingness to learn another language
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications including Word and Excel
- Team player
- Aptitude for capacity-building and training staff
- Sets clear objectives for staff and coaches/guides staff to develop their skills
- Creativity, open minded, adaptability to changes, flexible, honest
- Knowledge in disaster response scenarios and appropriate responses
- Experienced at data collection and analysis
