MTN Afghanistan is the subsidiary company of MTN Group operating in 22 countries with a subscriber base of over 200 Millions. MTN provides GSM services in Afghanistan. We are looking for qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position(s).
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
· Operation of Mobile Money Core Systems
Key Tasks:
· A highly dynamic and evolving field Located within MTNA operationally with influence and sway on technology in the Financial business.
· A constantly changing Legal and Regulatory environment
· Increasingly competitive marketplace.
· Vendor community focus more on sales than service.
· Convergence of technologies
· Attend and prepare the weekly review meetings with Managed Service team covering (Problem, Tickets and incidents) while monitoring SLA and system KPIs
· Prepare Knowledge DB for issue solved previously.
· Identify/request for RCA and setup/propose changes to existing processes to avoid previous cases.
· Prepare and Update system Inventory.
· Daily operation and maintenance supervision to identify and troubleshoot problems and realizes important problems/issues, the severity of their consequences.
· Documents system/processes configurations and solutions, maintaining an updated library with the configurations.
· Setup/Monitor and follow the Mobile Money Inter and Outer SLA.
· Provide 24/7 on call support towards all clients that involves Mobile Money systems.
· Provide first level of technical support for all MoMo related technical issues.
· Responsible to generates the necessary regular and outstanding reports about all ongoing and planned MoMo activities.
· Committed to team goals and contributed to team spirit building.
· Requests, authorizes and validates the configuration and implementation of changes concerning the MoMo platform.
· Studies new technologies and proposes improvements to the systems.
· Ensure compliance to internal and external IT audit and risk requirements.
· Liaise with suppliers for support and consulting.
· Assure the Excellent execution of MS contracts.
· Second line support for Customer complaints, RA issues, BRM Findings.
· Escalate major risks for stakeholders for decisions.
· Business process improvement (ITIL).
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree – Computer Science
Master’s degree – Business Administration
PMP certificate
Experience:
Over 5 experience in Telecom all of which within the IT Core Operation.
Training:
Database
Charging System
Mediation System
People Management
Knowledge:
Ø Fluent written and spoken English.
Ø Basic Knowledge in programming languages (shell, pl/sql, PHP etc).
Ø Excellent knowledge on Development platforms (MySQL, Oracle etc).
Ø Experience of Unix/Linux & Solaris.
Ø Excellent knowledge in telecommunication network protocols and principles.
Ø Capability to generate and analyse measurement reports.
Ø Basic knowledge of LAN methodologies
Ø Basic knowledge of switching protocols, e.g. SS7, SIGTRAN
Ø Excellent Knowledge in all Billing, IN and VAS elements
Skills / physical competencies:
Ø Quality, performance and reliability of Service Delivery systems
Ø Quality and corporate customer satisfaction for designed solutions
Ø Quality of generated reports
Ø Quality of documenting the Service Delivery systems’ configurations
Behavioral qualities:
Ø Team Player. Committed to team goals and contribute to team spirit building.
Ø Good communication skills. Very good ability to communicate in a fluent clear and logical way.
Ø Willing in working within teams and contributes in very effective manner to overall team effectiveness.
