Job Summary

The Estimation Engineer is involved in providing analytical reviews on various corporate level projects and aide the senior management to take crucial operational decisions on existing and upcoming projects. They have to estimate the overall impact of the project on the organization and make sure that the amount of finance included in that particular project reaps profit for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

. Assessing and analyzing provided construction projects costing tables.

2. Preparation and evaluation Bill of Quantities.

3. Facilitating, calculating and measuring of prices per unit cost.

4. Application of appropriate methods of material/labor percentage per construction jobs’ units.

5. Formulate and calculate the volume quantity of construction works based on architecture and engineering drawings specification (developed by ISD Engineering Section).

6. Study, assess determine and calculate the volume quantities of the jobs done on the site, the remaining vs. total quantities estimated.

7. Evaluation and Monitoring according to volumetric quantities of Structure.

8. Study, assess, determine and calculate the quantities discrepancies between adding extra and/or cutting the jobs per contract and offers’ provision.

9. Site supervision of ongoing projects as required by the office.

10. Submission of weekly, monthly and annual reports to relevant sections.

Job Requirements

•   At least 4 years of Estimating Engineering/Scheduling experience, Experience in USACE projects is preferred we value Creativeness.

•   Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Higher degree is preferable.

•   Reading of and quantification from engineering document.

•   Defining of scope

•   Equipment factored and capacity factored estimating

•   Demonstrated hands-on track record of managing/overseeing project estimates from start to finish.

•   Good general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control.

•   Good understanding and experience of using primavera software other engineering software is preferable.

•   Good spoken and writing communication skill in English, Dari and Pashto Languages.
