Job Summary

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing RFP/RFQ, specifications, and related documents. This role involves the establishment of material and work cost estimates, reviewing alternatives, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. The Estimation Engineer supports cost estimation activities and proactively seeks improvements. They work closely with the technical team to review project plans and specifications, create detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and determine accurate cost estimations for complex items.

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Gather RFP/RFQ, specifications, and related documents for further estimation and costing.

·        Establish cost estimates for materials and works and review alternatives.

·        Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review.

·        Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements

·        Reviewing the plans and specifications on projects, prepared by technical team, and creating the final detail takeoff Bill of Quantities (BoQ)

·        Determine accurate cost estimations for complex Pay-items

·        Create and maintain an accurate cost estimating database of unit prices

·        Provide cost estimates during change process and advise of cost impact of changes. Track and monitor activity.

·        Update the estimation database baed on feedback from procurement, finance, contract, and other units

·        Able to make work plans using Primavera

·        Able to work with AutoCad or Civil3D

·        Able to Manage and provide Technical Support to project site team.

·        Perform any other activities as assigned by the direct supervisor. 

Job Requirements

·        Education: Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred

·        Experience: 5-years working experience in a similar position preferred.

·        Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is necessary

·        Self-motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.

·        Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally

·        Good interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills

·        Commercially and financially aware

·        Strong analytical skills

·        Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate it to others

·        Highly numerate with the ability to research, assemble manage, and manipulate numerical information

·        Knowledge of estimating techniques

·        Results-orientated and organized with the ability to deliver against deadlines

·        Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

·        Project management Skill  

·        Cooperative and team-working skills

·        Being flexible regarding working hours.

·        Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.

·        Must familiar with MS office package

·        Must able to make work plans by Primavera

·        Must able to work with Autocad and Cicil3D
