Job Summary

Corrections System Support Program (CSSP) is helping Afghanistan improve its Corrections system by providing technical assistance, advice and training to Afghanistan Corrections system professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities

They will work with the CPD Infrastructure Office to ensure that each CPD facility has a designated Maintenance Officer, to recommend and coordinate trainings for these officers, and to assist in coordination and training of CPD Infrastructure maintenance personnel.
Assist in preparing a facilities assessment tool that the Provincial Facilities Maintenance staff can use to evaluate their facility and determine immediate and routine maintenance needs.
Work with the Infrastructure Program Implementation Team and contribute to training and mentoring efforts of the Afghan Infrastructure maintenance personnel.

Job Requirements

Afghan Facilities Maintenance Mentor should have a basic construction/contracting background.
Have a minimum of 3-5 years facility maintenance experience. Extensive practical experience in plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance preferred. They have experience in scheduling, planning and implementation of facility maintenance and repairs.
Must speak Pashtu, Dari and English languages.
