Job Summary

To assist the Finance Manager in all Financial matters as well as in their day to day routine work

Duties & Responsibilities


1. Assist the Finance Manager with production of financial Transactions and records.
2. Implement the IWA financial policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
3. Prepare and generate vouchers and code them according to the donor codes and appropriate accounting codes.
4. Ensure the correct calculation and payment of staff salaries, salary tax and tax of rent to the government bank account before the deadlines.
5. Ensure the availability of budget and that all expenses properly charged to the cost codes
6. Taking the correspondence letters, statements from the bank, related governmental offices and vice versa.
7. Make sure that all the payments are paid and supporting documents are all stamped “paid” and all transactions are properly signed.
8. Making sure to collect all the financial transactions in hard copy from field offices.
9. Make sure to coordinate with field staff in relation to the financial subjects and completion of financial supporting documentations.
10. Ensure that financial records provide clear documentation and approvals and that internal control procedures are followed.
12. Ensure that all transactions are properly referenced By location, by Journal type, funding source, and projects.
13. Make sure all vouchers are filed properly and kept safe.
16. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the finance manager

Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor degree / Diploma in business administration
Experience
2 to 3 years experience in accounting and finance

Have experience in cash management

Experience in quick books
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Be able to speak English, Dari and Pashto fluently

Good interpersonal skills

Can work long hours if required

Be creative and self starter

Be able to work independently with minimum supervision

Good typing skills in English and Dari

Be punctual, well-organized and hard working

Can prioritize her work

Good communication skills
