Job Summary

The Finance Compliance Officer is a very key position within the AICB structure therefore its requirements include frequent travel under the AICB operation coverage areas for provision of above listed support to the offices in the field. The incumbent will also need to have broader understanding of the financial audit, taxes and best accounting practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main Duties:

Under the supervision and close collaboration with Chief Executive Offices the incumbents will have the following responsibilities:

AICB policy development:
- The incumbent will have to assist in preparing and or reviewing various AICB policies related to finance and accounting
- Provide trainings to the financial and accounting staff members on related policies, procedures and regulations

Controls and internal Audit:
- Conduct regular review of the financial bills, accounting entries and records for identifying gapes and ensuring compliance
- Conduct quarter internal audit of the financial and accounting system for Kabul and Kandahar offices
- Ensure that all dues, taxes and payments are processed in timely manners
- Guide the staff members on implementing standard financial and accounting practices
- Review the performance of the finance and admin staff members and provide recommendations for improving their performances
- Develop regular financial analyses reports to the management
Program Support:
- Assist in the program development team in developing proper budget for new initiatives
- Provide regular financial analyses of the different ongoing projects in order to avoid losses and decrease costs

Job Requirements

- University or equivaleernt degree in finance or accounting
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial management and audits
- Good computing (MS office, internet) and quick book
- Knowledge and understanding of Afghan Government Taxation Laws
Skills and personality:
- Excellent communication skills and able to convince people
- Able to manage large and complex finances
- Able to write good reports
- Good understanding of Private Business set ups
- Highly committed, motivated, energetic, self dependent and result oriented
- Having good team spirit and flexible
- Age should be between 30 and 50
