Maihan steel was physically founded in 2018 with the purpose of a positive step for economic growth, decreasing import of steel products, creating job opportunities, self-esteem, exporting high quality steel products abroad and making a good result of trading. Job Summary

Under the Organization, a qualified Consultant will function as Finance manager to assist Managing Director to achieve overall efficient Financial Management of the Organization. The objective of this assignment is to support the Managing Director of maihan Steel in the financial management and disbursement areas and to assist the finance department staff members in order to prepare financial income Statement, Balance sheet ‘Statement of Cash Flow and Cost Accounting.

Scope of Work and Tasks:

 Selected Consultant will execute the following tasks:

a)     The consultant will work under the guidance of the Managing Director(M.D) of the Maihan Steel, will be accountable for ensuring that the Organization will have in place an adequate financial management system that can provide, with a reasonable assurance, accurate and timely information on the Organization status in a reporting format agreed with the Organization as Required.

Support that will be given to the Consultant at Kabul:

 Maihan Steel shall provide the following support:

·        A suitable working space inside the Maihan Steel Complex.

·        Internet connectivity in Office.

·        Food Allowance.

·        Accommodation entrusted.

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Establishing and maintaining appropriate Maihan Steel financial management system;

·        Maintaining up-to-date Maihan Steel accounting books and records for all Organization activities;

·        Preparation of the Organization financial statements and related Organization reports on a regular basis;

·        Consolidating financial statements and related Organization reports when required;

·        Monitoring and reporting the disbursement status and progress to the Managing Director as and when required;

·        Ensuring that disbursement procedures are in accordance with the Maihan Steel’s requirements;

·        Managing and maintaining the Designated Account with due coordination with MOF and the DAB;

·        Preparing withdrawal applications and monthly bank reconciliation statement in a timely manner;

·        Assisting and working with external auditors to complete the annual audit for the Organization in a timely manner;

·        Keeping and filing all accounting vouchers, records, forms, supporting documents and other relevant financial documents in a systematic manner;

·        Follow up with concerned government departments on financial management and disbursement issues when required.

·        Training staff from the Finance Directorate on financial management of Maihan Steel.

Job Requirements

·        Afghan National ;

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business Administration/Accounting or any other related field.

·        Master Degree in Finance are preferred.

·        At least 5 years of direct relevant work experience in finance and accounting field;

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance Managerial Position;

·        Knowledge of Financial Reporting Systems;

·        Basic understanding of information systems, including previous work experience

using financial and accounting software;

·        

 Good understanding and previous work experience in preparation of financial statements;

·        Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto (listening, reading, writing, speaking);

·        High integrity and accountability, good team work spirit.
