1. Position in the organisational chart:
 The FS Program Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Field Coordinator.
2. Main objective of the position
The FS Program Manager is in charge of implementing activities as described in the proposals.
 He supervises the operational teams that come under his responsibility.
 He ensures that all activities (Animal husbandry, agriculture, irrigation, NRM activities….) that are implemented are carried out well and to a high standard and, if necessary, proposes adjustment or improvements to guarantee a high standard.
3. Specific Tasks of the position
 Activity relevance and quality
o Implement activities in accordance with Solidarités International technical requirements and financial donor criteria
o Collect information and assist in the quality analysis of the activities carried out (Animal husbandry, agriculture, irrigation, NRM activities….)
 Implementation and operational monitoring
o Plan and supervise the implementation of the activities in accordance with the deadlines and technical specificities that have been set
o Use management, monitoring and evaluation tools in the activities
o Supervise operational teams, contracted companies and communities, monitor the efficient use of resources provided
o Assist in creating committees, training and monitoring them
 Human Resources Management
o Identify and pass on team training needs, activities, etc.
o Supervise and support the teams
o Act as the liaison in the field between the various Supervisors
o Put security measures in place during the implementation of activities and ensure compliance with these rules by staff under his supervision
 Reporting / communication / representation
o Security Follow up in the areas of intervention
o Write up reports on the progress of activities
o Participate in meetings and workshops and write up minutes for them
o Fill out and update the activity sheet provided in the Tool box
o Facilitate communication between Solidarités International and communities, authorities, beneficiaries and other parties in the area
o Communicate with Supervisors on activity results
o Provide oral and written translation for the coordination team during meetings or site visits
o Write up handover and transition reports
4. Skills and Qualification Required:
 Technical skills:
ï‚§ Higher Education in Agriculture sciences (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Natural resources management...)
ï‚§ Previous experiences in similar position
 Languages:
ï‚§ To be fluent in Dari (written, read, spoken),
ï‚§ To be fluent in English (written, read, spoken).
 Computer skills;
ï‚§ Required :
 Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
 Internet packages
 Skype, outlook
 Personal:
ï‚§ Being proactive, motivated and able to learn quickly new methods of working,
ï‚§ Knowledge of NGO intervention in rural areas.
ï‚§ Ability to work in and adjust with different situations,
ï‚§ Ability and eagerness to work with different cultures
