The Petroleum and Gas engineer will be responsible to provide technical expertise and support from an engineering perspective to ensure safe and effective design and construction of TAPI Gas Pipeline Project in accordance with the corporate strategic plan.
Provide day to day support to the TAPI Coordination Office associated with all technical aspects of the TAPI project including preparing reports and updating from the daily technical progress.
Assists TAPI Director to obtain all the necessary technical information from subcontractors, and act as technical assistance between TAPI coordination office and other parties on technical issues.
Develop engineering designs, cost estimates, and project management for gas transmission lines, meter and regulator stations.
Coordinate with TAPI Coordination Office authorities in establishing and implementing short and long range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, operating procedure and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness and effects changes required for improvements.
Review all technical documents and reports submitted by subcontractors.
Provide technical and professional review, comments and suggestion to the TAPI Director for the betterment of work in the project site.
Visits the project site to monitor over all aspects of work under taken by the Subcontractors. He would prepare reports on professionalism and progress of the work at the site, and shall provide recommendations and suggestions to the TAPI Director.
Develop a clear technical strategy and related implementation plan based on the contract requirement with sequenced activities.
Reports any negligence, non-conformity and deviation of the subcontractors during work to the director with sensible recommendation immediately.
The Petroleum and Gas Engineer is required not to enter in any other subcontractor’s offices or places without official work during his tenure of service with TAPI coordination office. He/ She is bound to deep professional integrity during review of reports and suggesting recommendations.
Provide complete engineering expertise as well as technical support to manufacturing management pertinent to compression, pipelines, treating processing and measurement facilities.
Propose mitigation plan for pipeline hazardous materials and safety administration.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the TAPI Director upon request.
At least bachelor’s degree in Gas/Engineering, Technology or any other closely-related field. Preference will be given to the candidates with higher studies. The candidate shall have at least 7 years’ experience of working in related field with bachelor degree and 5 years of experience with Masters degree. Preference will be given to the candidates with additional years of experience.
Languages:
High command in written and spoken Dari/Pashto and English languages.
Computer:
Competency with MS-Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Other Skills
The incumbent should have strong written and oral communication and other interpersonal skills.
The incumbent should be able to represent TAPI Coordination Office in intra-government and non-government meetings, conference etc.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
The incumbent must have the ability and desire to complete projects within deadlines.
The incumbent should have sound presentation skills and ability to present to a large group of audience (national and international).
The incumbent should be able to manage and work in working groups
