Inspects generator systems and work of vendors to determine condition of equipment, safe operation of equipment, quality, and safety of work.
Performs regular scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and emergency services on power distribution systems, generators, transfer switches, control panels, related engine mechanical issues, switchgears, fuel delivery stems, and power cables.
Performs preventive maintenance on uninterrupted power supply systems, generators, and air compressors to maintain system operation and reliability to ensure uninterrupted power and continuous air supply to critical facilities, equipment and systems.
Inspects tests, evaluates, calibrates and updates generator systems and wiring to improve reliability and to assure dependability and safety and compliance.
Analyzes electrical circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings, and installs, repairs, calibrates, services or replaces electrical devices and systems to prevent overload.
Obtains estimates and quotes of materials and equipment needed for repairs and the completion of required tasks.
Responds to 24-hour emergency calls for assigned work area to perform emergency generator repairs during off-duty hours.
Provides direction, guidance and instruction to generator technicians and other vendors/contractors in the correct operation of generators and materials used to complete required maintenance activities.
Plans and schedules corrective action and preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and maintain optimal operating condition of facilities and equipment.
Monitors weekly generator performance to monitor reliability, efficiency, output, fuel consumption, and load.
Oversees vendors and contractors to determine that work is correctly performed and completed in a timely manner, that the correct materials are utilized, and to assure that procedures meet regulatory requirements.
Performs all services and repairs in strict accordance with the standards of US DoD TB Med 530, USACE EM385, International Building Code (IBC), and National Electric Code (NEC).
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Conducts preventive maintenance checks and services of all electrical components and equipment on the premises.
Maintains cost, inspection, and maintenance records on generators and power systems to document maintenance work and equipment replacement.
Trains co-workers to perform preventive maintenance, produce monthly reports, and repair generator equipment.
Is required to be “On Call” and subject to recall if needed after hours, on days off, and holidays. Mobile phone must be answered at all times, when recalled to property by Supervisor, must return on-site within 1 hour.
Assists and serves as back up to other Facilities & Maintenance staff regardless of duties being performed.
Assists other team members with their duties.

Immediately reports any suspicious activity, hostile actions, altercations, elevated security situations, elevated interactions with guests, disruptions, situations requiring assistance, perceived surveillance, infractions of property polices, infractions of corporate policies, unauthorized photography, violations of SOP’s, suspicious local activity, significant pedestrian/vehicle traffic changes, suspicious behavior of guests/staff/guards/guest staff/visitors/vendors/or local populace to immediate supervisor and security without delay.
