The Ground Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and on-time dispatch of our aircraft and responsible for smooth coordination of all operational processes.
The Ground Handling Supervisor directly report to the Duty Manager. The Ground Handling
Supervisor responsibilities are to:
Responsible for the supervision of all airside operational activities.
Report for duty in full uniform worn in accordance to the company regulation.
Plan and execute work schedule to accommodate expected operation.
All activities mentioned below shall be as per the Kam Air GOM policies and
procedures.
Ensures the safe and seamless operations.
Assure that ramp staff and equipment are available prior and during flight preparations for departures and arrivals.
Make sure that safety and ramp handling procedures are fully implemented.
Supervises all loading and offloading of valuable and dangerous goods shipments and assure that all loading/offloading irregularities are reported to the Duty Manager.
Follow-up with Dispatch regarding delays, equipment changes, rescheduling and any
other flight operations changes.
Monitor the flow of baggage from/to aircraft.
Coordinate with Airport Authorities on aircraft parking bay position.
Inform, up-to-date all sections of related information regarding the departures/arrivals
timing.
Send/Receive/Review flight movement messages for each inbound and outbound flights. Prepare the recap flight movement according to actual data provided from different sections.
Assure the full compliance to the ramp handling policies and procedures manual.
Reports all sections activities to duty manager on daily basis.
Assure that flight file and flight reports are completed and filed on time.
Monitor any discrepancies and reports it to the duty manager immediately.
Prepares a detailed daily RHR (Ramp Handling Report).
Prepare Ground Safety Report form in case of any ground incident.
Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization as well as environmental protection issues.
Responsible for safety & quality of the function / task performed.
Responsible for reporting to his superior’s occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, security and company reputation.
University bachelor’s degree/master’s degree preferred but not required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in airline industry or ground handling company
Advanced English language proficiency
Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking
Well-groomed and able to maintain professional appearance
Proficient in MS Applications (Word, Excel, Power point, Access, Outlook)
