Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include in-depth repair as required on motorized and non-motorized Ground Support Equipment

·        Performing daily preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on special purpose

           equipment, like dollies, forklifts, Main Deck/Low Deck Loaders, etc.

·        Supervises and instructs the GSE Non-skilled helpers in technical aspects of Ground Support

Equipment

·        Work alone or assist the GSE mechanics as required in installation or maintenance of GSE

·        Assemble or disassemble parts as advised by the GSE Mechanic

·        Clean the workshop area and collect the maintenance tools spread around the workshop and

           organize them in the tool’s shelves/cases

·        Any other duties as assigned by GSE Mechanics

Job Requirements

•      Familiarity with procedures and tools used by mechanics

•      Ability to perform general maintenance work that requires basic manual skills

•      Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours and / or overtime depending on service needs

•      Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, leverage, and manipulate equipment and/or packages weighing up to 40 kgs

•      Minimum of 1 years’ experience as automotive mechanic helper

Language Requirements:

•      Fluency in local languages, Pashto and Dari.

Skills

•      Organized and a self-starter

•      Can manage time and prioritize work load
