1. Responsible for overall management of the English Language related subjects within different faculties.
2. Plans, develops, and implements educational strategies.
3. Recruitment of English instructors.
4. Ensures the quality of educational management, operations and activities.
5. Reviews departmental reports, portfolios, profiles and relevant documents.
6. Manages learning and teaching operations and activities of the department.
7. Controls and manages assessment procedures and processes within the department.
8. Monitors English classroom educational service delivery quality.
9. Establishes and ensures internal control procedures within the department.
10. Reviews and controls curriculum development processes within the department.
11. Manages and controls all teaching and learning aids and equipment within the department.
12. Arranges and maintains accreditation agreements with relevant institutions.
13. Manages and applies the teacher’s performance appraisal system.
14. Performs any additional general education and administrative management activities.
15. Ensures timely submission of all related documents and reports of the department.
Attends all meetings when requested.
16. To be responsible for the continued professional development of all members of the English department. Advises the teachers of the relevant courses and participates in the appraisal of the English teachers.
17. Monitors the assessment of student’s progress.
18. Establishes and manages IELTS and TOFEL classes.
Masters in English Literature with 3 years of experience in managerial roles
Bachelors in English Literature with 5 years of experience in managerial roles
Education:
BA in English literature MA in English is preferred
1. Three years of managerial experience in education sector
2. Five years of English teaching experience in any recognized institution.
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
4. Professionalism
5. Commitment to educational ethics
