Job Summary

In this context, MSF is recruiting two Health Promoters for its IDP activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE
Implement Health Promotion activities with patients and local population to raise their knowledge and skills on relevant medical topics.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inform patients and communities about MSF and services it provides
- According to medical priorities, deliver information to the patients and community on specific health topics
- Implement activities of health education and awareness (sessions in schools, churches, community), under the indications and supervision of the HP Supervisor
- Participates in the design and implementation of the HP activities and develop the HP messages and materials according to the needs and the target group under guidance of the HP supervisor and the HP Referent
- Under the guide of HP Supervisor, assess the impact of activities (with questions, verifications and behaviours observations), and report problems, success and constraints to him/her
- Collect all type of information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, in particular to identify the most vulnerable populations to target

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
Education
- High school diploma (12th class) essential
- Medical or paramedical certification desirable
- University diploma desirable
Experience
- Experience in similar position desirable
Languages
- Dari and Pashtu: oral and written Essential
- English: oral and written desirable



WORKING HOURS AND SALARY
Full Time: 176 hrs a month, day shifts Sat-Wed.
The Gross salary for this position is 27, 250 AFN per month (non-negotiable)
