Capital Region Independent Development Authority (CRIDA), Multi Location
CRIDA is currently looking for an HAVC Design Engineer to play active role in Structure Design Division (SD) and contribute in managing and preparation of multidisciplinary tasks for achieving the strategic goals of CRIDA on objective basis.
Reporting Line: The HAVC Design engineer will report directly to the line manager, and Deputy/Director of Structure Design Division.
Duties/Responsibilities:
To prepare design document such as: design analysis, technical drawings, scope of work, specification, catalog, proposals and reports regarding HAVC projects with the relevant codes and engineering practices.
Prepare plan, section and detail drawings for various mechanical process systems. Drafting and final check of construction works with design drawing and makes As Build drawings.
Working with a design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction of HAVC facilities. Field work and site visits from design through construction may be required.
To assess the existing situation of HAVC in Capital Region and make a report including estimation of required piping and equipment’s for upgrading systems for new demand.
To maintain and update the design schedules for all HAVC projects and prepare progress reports.
To coordinate and interact with other CRIDA departments and consultants regarding HAVC projects.
Preparing bill of quantity of required material and equipment’s as per design drawings.
Ensure drawing compliance with CRIDA’s CAD standards and styles. Create, manage and supervise the production of drawing submittals.
To perform other related duties as assigned by manager or Structure Design top management.
Education requirements are a B.S. degree in Mechanical, or HAVC Engineering, Master degree is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of practical experience management and design of HAVC system.
Must have experience in design of HAVC facilities with strong knowledge and background of HAVC equipment and new systems.
Candidates must possess excellent writing and communication skills and have a strong background in fluid mechanics-both open channel and pressurized piping networks.
Excellent 2D AutoCAD and 3D AutoCAD skills required, and civil 3D experience, highly desired. Experience with HAVC modeling software packages is a plus.
Good knowledge of code and standard relating to HAVC and ability to enforce them.
Ability to present ideas and findings clearly and concisely in written oral or graphic form.
Ability to plan, supervise and coordinate technical, operational and administrative activities and programs.
Excellent writing and spoken Pashto, Dari and English are a plus.
Able to work independently and under the stressful conditions
The experience should encompass hydraulic evaluations, conceptual/feasibility studies, preparation of design reports, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services.
