Job Summary

The health management information system (HMIS) officer of the Field Project Office is overall responsible for the collection, recording organization and dissemination of data at project level. He is responsible for provision HMIS tools to facilities and provision of feed back to field staff. He also conducts on job trainings to the field staff. He attends the technical meetings at project and central level. He is also responsible for supervision of health facilities in relation to HMIS.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervision and on the job training of clinic pharmacies on regular basis
• Analysing, checking and compiling and analyzing HMIS data at provincial level
• Developing monthly and quarterly HMIS reports
• Providing HMIS training to the staff
• Regular visits to health facilities to ensure that proper and accurate data collection and reporting system is in place.
• Maintain HMIS system update and equipped to be used for planning and monitoring exercises at any time.
• Provide drug management training to the health facilities staff.

Job Requirements

• Graduated from recognised university in a relevant field preferably with a medical degree.
• At least three years experience in related field preferably within the health sector.
• Previous experience in Samangan will be an advantage, as well as , experience of working with HMIS and Drug Management
• Good communication skill (written and spoken) of Pashto , Dari and English
• Honest, active, Innovative and punctual
• Be willing and able to stay and travel frequently inside the parts of Samangan
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated skills in health management
• Ability to support colleagues and provide/ receive constructive feedback
• Being an afghan citizen
