Job Summary

Responsible for compiling, processing, interpretation and analyzing all health and nutrition related data, and provide constructive suggestion and feedback for improvement of the health and nutrition services delivery through mobile health and nutrition teams. And providing data for reporting on regular basis. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide basic, general and health information about the target areas and catchments ’areas population.

• Responsible for managing information for the project and ensuring the integrity of data throughout the system 

• Operates the HMIS and other relevant databases, updates and analyze the information timely and regularly

• Provides reliable, accurate, and timely information and reports for planning and decision making purposes 

• Monitors the HMIS activities in the project catchment areas 

• Perform feasibility studies of the site as required

• On job training to field staff on MoPH standard HMIS formats, Charts, Tally sheets, Household survey and MoPH policies etc

• Periodic visits to the project sites in order to train the field staff on data collection and preliminary analysis and reporting

• Analyze the health situation and provide feedback to BRAC country office and field offices

• Process and computerize the received data on monthly basis and distribute data as hard and soft copy to relevant organs

• Actively participate in drafting project work-plan/action-plan, Baseline and end of project survey

• Suggest and recommend probable changes in the implementation of the project activities

• Participate in training activities

• Assist the Project Technical specialist in project performance and progress reports writing

• Perform any other required project-related tasks

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.


Job Requirements

  • Good organizational, communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto and Dari, both written and spoken
  • Familiar with report writing and planning
  • Honest, proactive, and well mannered.  
  • Received HMIS, Nutrition, Monitoring and supervision, and report writing trainings    
  • Training and capacity building skills in participatory monitoring methods.
  • Computer knowledge and skill
  • Skill on result-based work plan (using logical framework) on strategy including budget related issues
  • Ensure monthly reports and other reports from concerned supervisor with qualitative and quantitative information
  • Knowledge on materials development

·        Coordination skill with MoPH, BPHS implementer, Govt. officials, and local elected bodies, NGO’s, project experts and concern community members

  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience, especially within NGO or similar organizations.

·        Work experience at the grass root level, MHNT project, BPHS project and Nutrition project.
