Job Summary

To work on a rotation basis in each area of the Housekeeping, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of each section and all related services, while adhering to the standards of service required by the Blue flame.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.To ensure through effective supervision the smooth operation of your designated area and that all tasks are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy, as per the departmental operations manual.
2.To maintain a composed atmosphere in all areas, never giving the impression that there is a problem.
3.To ensure an efficient method of communicating with all departments is maintained.
4.To liaise with the Engineering department ensuring all area maintenance is completed in a timely basis, reporting any delays to the Restaurant Manager for follow up.
5.To liaise with the reservation on anticipated guest movement and VIP arrivals etc.
6.To assist subordinates during peak periods.
7.To be fully conversant with the departmental and Blue Flame emergency procedures.
8.To inspect on a regular basis all public, emergency and services areas.
9.To ensure departmental par stocks of Linen, Guest and Cleaning supplies are maintained in all pantries.
10.To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all housekeeping equipment, and schedule necessary preventive maintenance in line with departmental activity schedule.
11.To ensure that the Housekeeping Attendants exercise proper discipline and courtesy in attending to the Guests Needs/Requests.
