Job Summary

The Internal Audit & Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring AIBA’s overall compliance with its own and projects policies in the areas of finance, procurement and Human Resources , he or she will also ensure that recommendations made by an external audit are effectively implemented into AIBA’s activities

Duties & Responsibilities

Review existing and planned future organizational audits and develop plan to implement the recommended changes into AIBA’s activities.
Work closely with the relevant ABIA departments to ensure implementation of all audit recommendation
Review existing AIBA procedures for compliance with internal rules
Review existing AIBA procedures for compliance with projects rules.
Contribute to the drafting of grant reports on activities undertaken and progress made
Other assignments as directed by the line manager.

Job Requirements

A bachelor degree BBA, BSC BA of Law and political science or relevant field .

Working experience with national or international NGO is a plus.

3-5 yrs experiences in the auditing/compliance field

Good communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access, and accounting software (quick book).

strong skills in report writing & data analysis

Fluent spoken and written skills in Dari, Pashto and English.

Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, and work under pressure as part of a team or independently as needed.

Ability to work in a systematic and organized manner with good attention to accuracy and details.

self-motivated and able to follow up on own and colleagues work to ensure successful implementation of audit recommendations
