Duration: 8 Months till 2 years extend employee service contract
1. Development Component of Program , particularly in credit related issues.
2. Develop working relations with major Afghan fresh fruits merchants to identify potential improvements in marketing practices that will result in higher profits for both merchants and farmers.
3. Develop and implements programs to assist the Merchants to test potential improvements in marketing practices, including the identification of new, more profitable wholesale markets, supermarkets and buyers.
4. Identify the target market requirements, prepare market studies and share the information with the related Afghan merchants.
5. Conduct training sessions in product processing, marketing and exports of Afghanistan products to the international markets
6. Become competent in the entire array of knowledge required to profitably market Afghan horticulture crops. This will include familiarity with standard production practices; but will show expert or, at least, enthusiastic interest in all the functions required to harvest, package, ship and market the Afghan products.
7. Analyzing and report associated costs and profits of marketing targeted agricultural products.
8. Develop various formats for concept note, feasibilities studies and collection of data to those formats in to business concept note.
9. Collect and reporting economic and financial data from other organization which will help ARDP management to make decision.
10. Establish linkages and arrange Business to Business meetings between the Afghan exporters and buyers in the international markets.
11. Prepare feasibility studies, market data and reports to help the project in decision making about services for the business development of Afghanistan.
12. Identify and create network of transportation companies with reefer containers possibility to international markets and the packaging manufacturers able to produce international standard packaging for exports.
13. Conduct assessment on different export markets of program value chain products
14. Work closely with relevant government agencies to tickle the trade impediments of Afghan fresh and dried fruits.
15. Any other duties assigned by the program senior management.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the export of agricultural commodities including customs clearance, International trade sector, basic accounting, practical training and financial management
At least 2 years’ of practical training experience
Experience:
The Applicants must have Bachelor degree and a master degree or PHD is preferred
At least 1 year practical work experience in HEART
Ability to speak fluent English
Excellent Computer skill
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
Focuses on results and responds positively to the feedback.
Be on time and loyalist to the ROP’s rules and regulations
Strong sense of personal initiative and problem solving skills.
