Job Summary

Provide Dari/Pashto/English written interpretation/translation.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for performing translation related activities, including, translation of drafts and documents from Dari or Pashtu, into English and vice versa
2. To translate all proposals, plan & procedures according to Counter Narcotics & Intoxicant Law in to Dari/Pashto to English & vice versa.
3. To translate the final project report and its components, if needed.
4. To coordinate with all MCN HQ and provincial directorates for translation of income documents.
5. To attend & interpret at high level in all workshops, meetings, seminars & conferences.
6. To translate legal documents and official correspondence in a concise manner from English to Dari or Pashtu and vice versa.
7. To Provide oral interpretation, and attend project meetings and conferences, training seminars, hearings and sessions
8. Efficiently translate documents for publication from English into Dari.
9. To check, proofread, and edit of all publication inside MCN directorates.
10. To Attend and interpret at high level meetings.
11. To perform all other job – related tasks or duties as assigned by MCN Authority in accordance with Law, procedures and policies.
Sub responsibilities:
 Provide high quality translation of Dari working documents and emails into English
 Provide high quality translation of English working documents and emails into Dari
 Provide high quality translation of official, governmental and international documents in both Dari or English
 Provide high quality translation of legal documents as required
 Offer interpretation to English speaking staff during meetings and conferences

12. Responsibility 2: Any other tasks as required by MCN Sr. Management that can contribute to the achievement of the main mission described in the job description.

Job Requirements

 Education: completion of higher education (Bachelor) or Diploma in field of Language literature, BBA, Law or Political Science etc. is required.
 Experience: 3 to 4 years related experience in field of Translating, interpreting with National or international organizations, or as an Afghan government offices is required.

 Language & computer skills: fluency in English/Dari and Pashto is required, well familiar with MS. Office 2010
