Demonstrate a working knowledge of Afghan criminal law and procedures. Ability to develop and maintains effective relationships; effectively works with difficult, hostile, or distressed people; is sensitive to tribal and cultural diversity, race, gender, sexual orientation, and individuals with disabilities.
Must have excellent oral and written English, Dari, and Pashtu communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise reports. Skilled with Microsoft Office to include: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Candidate is required to fluently speak, read, understand and write Pashto, Dari, English languages. This will be tested at the time of interview.

Translation of all documents including engineering related correspondences (verbally, written and electronically) submitted by CSSP that may be from English in Pashto/Dari, or vice versa. He/She is responsible to report his/her related supervisor regarding their daily assignments. (phone calls translations, views, requests or proposals from the advisors counterpart to the applicable Government agency or NGO organizations)
Other Duties as assigned. Travel will be required for this position.
Provide technical translation to documents (Project SOW, signoff letters, close out documents , PR and construction and rehabilitation project specifications ).
Provide technical translation to weekly, monthly and other relevant information and reports as needed.
Provide technical translation to documents Actively engages in the training, advising and mentoring process, Trains and mentors (CSSP/GDPDC) Infrastructure personal.
Carry out other tasks assigned by the related manager in accordance to skills availability
interpreter position will directly report to the chief engineer
Education- graduated from High School (Grade 12/ Bachelor Degree).
Translation testing to include but no limited to verbal, written and electronic translation, will be administered at the time of the interview. in a relevant field and/or three(3) years of experience in an Afghan Rule of Law Program; Afghan Ministry; International Organization; or Non-Government Organizations (NGO) as an translator , engineering Project documentation translator . Demonstrated ability to present both verbally and in writing with clarity and precision to senior level executives.
