Inventory Clerk FSN-05 trainee level FSN-04

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct the day to day operations of the Property unit overseeing $115M in property throughout Afghanistan. Tasks include but not limited to; an annual inventory that encompasses over 80 building on the embassy compound, three laydown yards with over 150 40' containers, and one additional warehouse; disposal of surplus property that in 2013 included 40 40' containers and 20 truckloads donated goods; departure and arrival inventories of all 800 residences on an annual basis; and maintaining accurate records in ILMS of all property moves and disposals providing reports to Management and Washington, DC.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

VA 16-057 Full Performance Level:
Education: Completion of High school is required.
Experience: One year experience in Inventory management is required.

VA 16-057T Trainee Level:
Education: Completion of High school is required.
Experience: Six months experience in Inventory management is required.

Language: English – Fluent Level IV (good working knowledge) Dari – Fluent Level IV and Pashto Good Working knowledge Level III is required.

Knowledge: Operations of the Embassy Property processes, relevant sections of 14 FAM 400 and 14 FAH 1.

Abilities and Skills: Well qualified in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Good oral and acceptable written communication. Ability to use and learn complex software (ILMS). Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
