Duties & Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare /review construction projects design. Ensure Standards/Norms of quality, safety and review project design.
• Lead engineering team and preliminary
• Assessment, planning, surveying, formulation, design, costing and Documentation of Projects.
• Analyze survey data and conduct discussions on design issue with other team members.
• Design Irrigation Structures.
• Provide drawings for all structures of the designed projects.
• Prepare specifications and submit it to the procurement section.
• Revision of design and BoQ for projects and submit it to the procurement.
• Provide facilitates to surveyors and site engineers.
• Monitor and evaluate the site projects if required.
• Propose the revision and amendment of designed projects documents (if required), after the Approval of director.
• Prepare and analyze the progress reports and submit it to the director.
• Build the capacity of other civil engineers.
• Close coordination with surveyors.

Job Requirements

• B. Sc in Civil Engineering.
• Good proficiency in Pashto, Dari and English understanding, speaking and Writing skills.
• Minimum 2 years of continuous work experience.
• Good knowledge of Irrigation Design by Design software.
• Highly self-motivated individual with a demonstrable ability to work under high pressure and accept responsibility and show initiative.
• Excellent skill in using computer.
• Ability to work long hours when required.
• Ability to analyze and process of survey data for Irrigation structure settlement in appropriate location and design.
• Drawing of Irrigation and structures by Auto Cad
• Calculation and Estimation of Engineering Designed Irrigation and Structures.
• Monitor and make of necessary improvements and recommendations to the Implementing Partners and post project monitoring of designed Irrigation and Structures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
He /She must also have:
• Knowledge and ability to apply computer applications to include MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Sufficient speed with computer keyboard typing in English;
• Working knowledge of Internet applications;
