The Islamic studies teacher is fully responsible to teach all Islamic related subjects and manage classes based on academic standards. He/she must report from all his class related activities to the supervisor of the general subjects department, he/ she will teach Islamic studies’ subjects much updated information to the 10-15 class students based on the current curriculum. He/ she as master of Islamic studies will also have the responsibility to review this subject current curriculum and or produce the new one if required.
1. Teaching Islamic culture (Saqafat e Islami), based on Ministry of education academic curriculum for 13-15th grade students,
2. Teaching Sharia related subjects (Aqaied e sharif and Tafsire Sharif ), based on Ministry of education academic curriculum for students Grades 10-12,
3. Prepare chapter notes for needs of the courses.
4. Leading the students towards the high level of Islamic subjects understanding
5. preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes
6. marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students’ Progress and development;
7. selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment;
8. undertaking pastoral duties, and supporting students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties;
9. preparing students for qualifications and external examinations;
10. managing students behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior;
11. participating in departmental meetings and whole school training events;
12. liaising with other professionals, such as Head of Departments and education officer
13. undergoing regular observations and participating in regular on job training as part of continuing professional development
14. Teaching in the institute, which takes students aged 15-25, teaching the institute Islamic related subjects’ curriculum appropriate to the age of the students.
15. Plans lessons in line with targeted objectives to ensure that students learn. He/she also encourage, monitor and record the progress of his/her students.
16. Support, observe and record the progress of his/her class. He/she also plan lessons in line with targeted objectives with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning.
17. Keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and objectives. The instructor liaises and networks with other professionals, parents and careers both informally and formally.
18. Other tasks given by the TMI authorities or by line manager.
Must be an Islamic studies professor and have at least bachelor’s degree in this field of studies
Having at least 5 years of successful teaching experience
Having the best communication skill
Ability to teach courses on the collegiate level.
Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate learning
Be familiar with the rules and regulations of MoE
Excellent communication skills, familiar with rules and regulation of the Ministry of Education
