Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic IT Manager to oversee our organization’s information technology operations, focusing on electronic recharge/top-up systems and online payment/electronic money systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system administration, networking, telecommunications (specifically with Mobile Network Operators), and technical support. This role involves managing communications and technical processes with MNOs, supporting internal teams, and collaborating with developers to implement effective tech solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and backup systems.
  • Ensure system security and data integrity through regular updates and patches.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Network Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.

Telecommunications and MNO Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between our organization and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).
  • Manage communications with MNOs to facilitate electronic recharge systems and ensure smooth service operations.
  • Collaborate with MNOs on technical integration, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Support for Internal Teams:

  • Provide technical support to internal teams, including helpdesk, sales, and customer care, to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to perform effectively.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and sessions for staff on IT systems and processes.
  • Address technical inquiries and issues raised by internal teams promptly.

Electronic Recharge/Top-Up System:

  • Administer and maintain the electronic recharge/top-up system, ensuring its reliability and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system features and user experience.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain service quality.

Online Payment/Electronic Money System:

  • Oversee the online payment and electronic money systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage system integrations with financial institutions and payment gateways.
  • Ensure data security and protection against fraud within the payment systems.

Collaboration with Developers:

  • Work closely with development teams to identify and implement technical solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Participate in the design and development of new software features and enhancements.
  • Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical teams for successful project outcomes.

Project Management:

  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or a related role, specifically within telecommunications or financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of system administration, networking, telecommunications, and database management.
  • Experience working with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and electronic payment systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in network protocols, firewall management, and network security.
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and data management practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic recharge/top-up systems and online payment technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Project management skills with experience in managing IT projects from inception to completion.
