Job Summary

The role is primarily to Monitor, Troubleshoot, install, service and maintain BMS Systems, access control in AIB Head Office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Main Duties:

•        Installation of Head Office BMS systems including Servers, access control

•        Maintenance and service of BMS, Servers, Storages and backup systems

•        Provide training on-site to the end user

•        Service calls and fault finding to CCTV Operators

•        To become fully conversant with other areas of the business and office procedures

•        To be flexible in order to undertake the many different areas of work that are required, such as project work, producing reports etc.

•        To produce accurate work to a high professional standard paying attention to detail

•        To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment

•        Maintain computer security and backups or other procedures as instructed

•        Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.

•        Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

•        Taking ownership of incidents/problems, auctioning and updating logged tickets and ensuring escalation paths are followed.

•        Implementing, supporting and maintaining robust procedures that ensure the effective operation and availability of BMS systems.

Job Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS       

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

 

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

•        MCSE/MCTS/MCITP/CCNA/Security-Plus

•        CCTV

•        BMS

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

4 Years proven experience in service/maintenance and installation of Servers, Storages, backup and BMS Systems

•        Comprehensive knowledge of Hardware replacement

•        Well Understanding Storage RAID configuration

•        Windows/Linux System administration and technology skills

•        Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

•        Good organizational and communication skills

•        Have the ability to successfully work under pressure and to deadlines

•        Be dependable and punctual

•        Be flexible and have an adaptable approach to work

•        Be available for weekend work and after office hours.
