Ghazanfar Bank started its operation in Kabul, Afghanistan, and is offering key financial services both under conventional and Islamic Banking. The Bank has since opened up its Branches at various key locations such as Mazar Sharif, Hairatan, Kunduz, Takhar, Pule- Khumri, Jalalabad, Herat, Kandahar besides opening another seven branches at Kabul in Sarai Shahzada, Shar-e-Naw, Karte Naw, Kote Sangi, Lase Maryam, Karte Char Kabul international Airport and Wazir Akbar Khan. In due course of time, the Bank intends to expand its Branch Network in Kabul as well as at other key locations of the Country.
The IT Risk Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating IT-related risks to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's information systems. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Job Description:
1. Identification, analysis and mitigate the prospective IT risks and vulnerabilities.
2. Identification of Bank’s key Information Technology risks and create effective risk management solution(s).
3. Assessment of business systems, operations, process and recognize internal and external risks, monitor and manage to ensure that they are secure.
4. Review of IT policies, procedure and control frameworks to ensure its alignment with relevant standard.
5. Review and monitor of Business Continuity and DR site plan, its adequacy and implementation.
6. Preparing risk dashboards to the Risk Management Committee of the board on a quarterly basis and/or as required.
7. Development of IT risk management procedure, assessment questionnaire, IT risk Management framework and Key Risk indicators.
8. Ensure existence of controls are in place, e.g. automatic voltage controls, CCTV, automatic humidity controls...
9. Maintenance of the bank risk registry.
10. Recommend suitable controls/mitigations for managing IT risk.
11. Contribute in implementation and awareness of relevant regulations and standards.
12. Recording and document operational and MIS data in a proper database for further reference of RMD.
Performing any other assignment instructed by Line Manager.
Qualifications:
Shall have at least Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Master’s degree will be preferred.
Experience:
Shall have at least 2 years of professional experience in IT, Audit and Risk.
