Job Summary

The primary responsibility is to assist the Trade Finance Officer and Trade Finance Manager on daily operations as mentioned in Job Description.

Duties & Responsibilities


Establishment/Opening Sight/Usance Import Letters of Credit

Booking Amendment under Sight/Usance Import Letters of Credit

Advising of shipping documents under Sight/Usance Letters of Credit

Payment/Retirement of sight bills under Import Letters of Credit

Instruction for Booking Bill under accepted Usance Import Letters of Credit Documents

Liquidating Bills under Usance Import Letters of Credit

Cancellation of Sight/Usance Import Letters of Credit

Instruction for Booking PIF under Import Letters of Credit

Establishment of arrangements for advising and confirming LC with foreign banks.

Keeping contact with foreign banks for LC transactions.

Advising and booking Export Letters of Credit

Advising Amendment under Export Letters of Credit

Verifying and sending shipping documents under Export Letters of Credit

Payment under Letters of Credit

Cancellation of Export Letters of Credit

Verification of documents under Import collection as and when received from the supplier's bank

Advising collection documents

Payment under Import Collection documents

Payment under Export Collection documents as and when received from the importer's bank.

Advise of Export BGs to CB dept or any third nominated bank as per request of issuing bank.

Instructing to TFL Operation department to book Export BGs in the system.

Honoring/forwarding Claims under Bank Guarantees if any received from the beneficiary.

Working on monthly reports which are required by department.

Being as backup of Officer to perform all his/her responsibilities on his/her absence

Job Requirements

Education:

Diploma degree preferably in Business Administration.

Skills:

Analytical and data reviewing skills.

Reporting skill.

Best understanding of Computer applications and software.

Abilities:

Ability to work under work pressure.

Meet the operational requirements.

Experience:

1 – 2 years of relevant experience.
