Job Summary
For the implementation of the irrigation schemes under the CLAP project, the irrigation directorate of MAIL is seeking for dedicated Laser Operators for its three working provinces (Kabul, Logar and Parwan)

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties &Responsiblities;

Estimation of cut & fill ratio and level adjustment for each field

Drive tractor for multipurpose use like laser leveler, seed drill, and bed planter.

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc

Having demonstrated knowledge of laser machinery (laser transmitter, receiver and control unit)

Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs, and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean. Keep machinery in optimal working condition.

Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc

Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are considered in case of emergency.

Perform other relevant duties as required.

Job Requirements

Must be able to read and write and should have valid Afghan driving license of Tractor

Minimum of 5 years driving work experience

Have experience of farm machineries

Should know and do minor repairs of Tractor, Cutting Blade, Cultivator, Seed Drill, Laser Unit

Fluency in Pashto and Dari is required

Ability to operate mobile telephones and handheld radios
