Duties & Responsibilities

Preparatory works
• Prepare village profile of the working villages.
• Visit existing VOs/MZs, along with social organizer or clusters/villages of the assign working area and obtain their indicative consent about the microfinance programme.
• Undertake social and economic mapping of the households and families of the villages accepting the programme.
• Organize orientation workshop in coordination with microfinance supervisor to inform them about policy and procedure of the microfinance programme and prospects for their involvement including operational procedures.
• Conduct pre-group training of the group of potential clients to ensure that they understand clearly the process of MADRAC operation.
• Prepare monthly action plan for group formation, savings clients, loan clients, savings mobilization and loan management.

Programme implementation

• Mobilize savings (compulsory and voluntary) from group members, issue receipt slips, distribute savings and credit pass-book, and maintain the group savings ledgers.
• Collect loan demand from group members on the recommendations of the group and submit to branch office with recommendations for approval.
• Review approved loan documents, prepare loan contract and disburse approved loan.
• Ensure timely recovery of the loan disbursed and ensure peer pressure at group level for the timely loan recovery of loans disbursed.
• Deposit savings and loan collected to the admin/accountant in the same day with proper receipt or payment summary and ensure the proper recording and reporting of the transaction in the branch office.
• Remind group members and the group leaders about timely repayment of loans and possible consequences to members as well as groups in case of defaults.

Capacity building

• Guide group members in selecting/electing group committee members and highlight roles of each committee for effective group management.
• Conduct training to group members from time to time to build their capacity in having better understanding about importance of group savings, proper use of loan borrowed, timely repayment, etc.

Reporting and Others

• Keep loan officers ledgers up-to-date.
• Prepare monthly progress report and submit to branch office in the last day of the month.

Job Requirements

Education: Intermediate level (12 years of education)

Experience: One year experience in community mobilization and one year in Microfinance

Other qualification an advantage: Mathmatics knowledge.

Languages: Dari/Pashto

Personal qualification: Honest, Hardworking, learning aptitude and punctual.
