Job Summary

Objective of the post:
Coordinate, implement and supervise the logistics, supply related activities in Daste Barchi project according to the standard policies, in order to optimize the response to the needs of the target population.
Ensure the good running of the project regarding all logistical aspects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Assist the Logistician Focal Point in the definition and follow-up of logistics activities in the project, in conjunction with other medical project managers in order to identify and give a response to the needs of the targeted population in terms of construction, transport, communication, food, shelter, water and sanitation, and essential non-food items.

Supervise and guarantee quality of construction and rehabilitation projects (construction, rehabilitation, installation, in compliance with MSF standards).

Ensure installation and maintenance of functional office space(s) and lodging facilities for international staff in adequate living conditions.

Supervise and guarantee quality of repair & Maintenance of facilities in compliance with MSF standards.

Ensure Electrical safety of all building.

Ensure quality and sufficient quantity of water supply in the hospital and Guest House.

Supervise the storage, packing and management of stocks (logistics materials, stationery and maintenance products), applying the storage rules for products (food, hazardous substances, etc.) and control consumption patterns.

Ensure the supply system and quality of the items according to MSF procedures.

Implement all administrative related activities linked to logistics (orders, insurances, vehicle contracts, etc.).

Job Requirements

Requirements:

High school (technical diploma) or technical University degree , preferably as engineer.

Essential at least two years of working experience in logistics related activities.

Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGOs.

Computer literacy, English oral and written, Dari is compulsory.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good sense of organisation of the work.

Sense of responsability, adaptability and honesty.

Flexibility.

Salary scale: Gross monthly salary (28565) AFN
