Job Summary

 To ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods and materials through planning, vendor coordination. The Logistics Manager aims to support organizational operations by managing inbound and outbound logistics, overseeing customs compliance, and maintaining high in transportation, while aligning all logistics activities with the company’s operational goals and regulatory requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inbound Logistics Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with suppliers to schedule incoming shipments.

2. Ensure timely receipt and proper documentation of goods.

3. Monitor and track inbound shipments and resolve delays.

4. Verify quantity and quality of received items against Material request Form.

5. Ensure safe unloading and storage of materials in the warehouse.

6. Maintain accurate records of goods received and delivered to regions or warehoused.

7. Communicate with procurement and finance regarding delivery updates.

8. Supervise handling of returned or damaged goods with vendors and inform relevant department for any discrepancies.


Outbound Logistics Responsibilities:

1. Plan and oversee daily dispatch operations.

2. Coordinate with vendors to prioritize deliveries.

3. Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of items.

4. Assign transport based on order volume, location, and urgency.

5. Monitor delivery timelines and performance of transporters.

6. Resolve customer complaints related to delivery issues.

7. Maintain documentation for all outgoing shipments.

8. Optimize delivery routes to reduce cost and improve efficiency.


Custom Clearance Responsibilities:

1. Prepare complete shipping and customs documents (invoice, BL, CoO, DoC.

2. Liaise with customs authorities and clearance agents.

3. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and restrictions.

4. Track duty and tax payments and manage clearance budget.

5. Respond to any customs queries or document clarifications.

6. Ensure timely clearance to avoid demurrage or storage fees.

7. Maintain records of all customs documents for audit purposes.

8. Coordinate with internal departments for any regulatory approvals or exemptions


Finance & Procurement Coordination:

1. Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for logistics-related needs such as transport, packaging, or customs services.

2. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely issuance and follow-up of Purchase Orders (POs).

3. Verify vendor invoices for accuracy in quantity, rate, and terms before submitting them to Finance.

4. Follow up with vendors for missing or corrected invoices and required supporting documents.

5. Track payment status with Finance for all logistics-related services to avoid service disruption.

6. Maintain a tracker of PRs, POs, and payments for internal reporting and auditing.

7. Ensure budget availability before PR submission in coordination with the Finance team.

8. Support Finance during audits by providing shipment records, invoices, and related documents.


Ad hoc/Support Tasks:

Any other Task assign by line supervisor.
