About NEI (Nutrition and Education International)

Job Summary

This position will be responsible to provide, coordinate and manage logistical needs and programs. Responsibility includes transportation of goods which are purchased domestically or from abroad, clearing the customs, warehousing of goods, keeping and moving inventories in an transparent and efficient manner. The candidate will work closely with purchasing and inventory control units within the Logistics and Procurement Department.

Duties & Responsibilities


Plan, prepare budget and execute logistical projects of the organization

Provide assistance to procurement and logistics manager for the daily logistics activities

Provide assistance to procurement and inventory management teams on logistical needs

Assess and resolve logistical issues and ensure core function running smoothly

Interact with governmental offices, private sectors, seed grower, soy processors, soy farmers association to provide logistical support and guidance per NEI goals and practices.

Provide and process completion of all shipments through Afghanistan custom clearances department/s and provide more facility accordingly

Develop a good filing system and its keeping soft and hard copies for payment process and reporting

Act as an active employee and stay responsive to every single aspects of logistical activities

Do not do an action to jeopardize NEI at the country level. And this JS is changeable at any time.

Any other tasks as assigned time-to-time by Procurement and Logistics Manager

Job Requirements


Bachelor Degree (BA, BS, BBA). BA in any field
o BA in Business Administration is preferred.

3 years’ experience in the logistics field.

Proficiency in spoken and written English a must.

Dari and Pashto proficiency

Computer and Microsoft Office literate

Honest, punctual, hard worker sufficient employees of NEI at any level and shown up initiator

Flexible for taking extra duties and long hours working with good communication skills

Clear understanding on governmental department workload and delays – for which could find a solution to run the work smoothly and on time

With good coordination and communication skills with the internal team and government employees.
