Maintenance Assistant for Computer Lab

Job Summary

The assignment will be initially for 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance at the end of the first 3-months probationary period. After 12 months, subject to a complete performance review, availability of funding; and the circumstances of the Ministry of Education prevailing at that time, an extension to the contract may be considered.

The duty station of this position will be National Technical , Teacher Training Institute (TTTI), ASDP, Ministry of Education/ Kabul, Afghanistan.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Able to teach M.S Office, Windows and keyboarding to students.
2. Assists teachers by maintaining order and discipline among students, recommending selection of appropriate software for class use, instructing students in the use of computers and software, and providing general assistance as needed.
3. Assist in giving instructions in the use of software applications, in context and as required by the teacher.
4. Maintains computers and peripheral equipment in clean and working condition.
5. Maintains various records such as weekly class schedules, software and computer check-out records, maintenance records, etc.
6. Any other tasks as may be given by the coordinator.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have Bachelor in computer Science, Information Technology or any other relevant field .


Demonstrated of three (2) years of experience Relevant field.


Computer Knowledge and software applications, such as MS office;


Teamwork: Proven leading and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-agency environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.


Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, the knowledge of Dari and Pashto languages is an advantage;
