Duties & Responsibilities

• To ensure availability of sufficient and sterilized equipment in male nursing section
• To ensure sepsi and asepsii conditions while handling with relevant patients
• To ensure all safety measures such as testing and other while administrating injections
• Ensure safe waste disposable of related room (Used gauze, sharps, D/S etc.) according to IP guideline.
• Prepare anti septic solution with proper concentration
• To conduct individual health education sessions with clients.
• To assist male doctor in OPD as needed.
• To take responsibility of other technical tasks such as ORT, growth screening and To store, arrange and organize the drugs properly in the shelves (FEFO)
• To take preventive measures for sun, mice and other bugs in the pharmacy.
• To ensure the proper ventilation and temperature of the pharmacy
• To ensure the hygiene of the pharmacy and safe disposal of pharmacy related waste
• To deliver drugs related health messages to the clients
• To ensure that drugs are not expired, if it is near to be expired should be reported before three months to Health Facility Manager, etc. instructed by HF manager.
• Requesting the nursing related materials to the manager on the right time
• Organizing, managing and controlling the nursing activities of male section.
• To keep record and on time report of male nursing activities.
• Attending all necessary meeting, workshop and training
• Requesting the pharmacy related materials to the manager on the right time
• To keep record and proper documentation of pharmacy activities
• To ensure availability of updated price list for the drugs
• To share the price list with the community through public announcement in local language.
• To report to the line managers any drug shortage in the health facility on the right time.
• Attending all necessary meeting, workshop and training
• Take part other activities given by Health Facility Manager
• To properly filling of balance sheet and submission of balance report on the designated time.
• Use uniform while on duty
• Keep the privacy/secret of patients
• Be respectful and proper attitude against the Clients
• Attend night duty as per schedule/needed and flexible mentality
• Follow and respect the contents of field staff guideline
• Male Nurse also responsible for preparing all relevant reports to HF manager.
• Ensure timely correspondence with relevant Organization staffs or non Organization staffs in issues regarding Health Project Activities.

Job Requirements

• For the post of Male Nurse a recognized graduate degree and 02 years experience in anesthesia is considered necessary.
• Good communication skill and team working capacity
• Good English, Pashto and Dari are essential
