Job Summary

The Manager-Digital has to lead and execute the digital and strategic vision for MTN Afghanistan. This key role will focus on customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue monetization through both the operator digital platform and Mobile Financial Services (MFS) app. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital strategy, marketing, and customer-centric approaches, with a track record of driving growth in digital channels.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Acquisition:
  • Lead and implement strategies to drive customer acquisition on digital platforms with innovative marketing techniques.
  • Develop and optimize customer acquisition funnels for both platforms to maximize conversion rates and minimize customer churn.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and IT, to ensure seamless integration and execution of customer acquisition campaigns.
  1. Customer Engagement:
  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies to enhance user experience on both the operator and MFS app platforms.
  • Leverage data analytics to understand customer behaviours and preferences, creating targeted campaigns to improve user engagement and retention.
  • Implement strategies to boost active user base and foster loyalty through personalized content, push notifications, and app features.
  1. Revenue Monetization:
  • Identify and execute revenue-generating opportunities within the operator and MFS app channels.
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies for new and existing digital products and services to maximize revenue potential.
  • Collaborate with the finance and product teams to optimize digital product offerings and drive revenue growth.
  1. Strategy Development:
  • Define and implement the digital strategy for MTN Afghanistan, aligning with the overall company goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to continuously refine and innovate the digital strategy.
  • Provide strategic leadership and insights to senior management on digital transformation and the evolving telecom and fintech landscape.
  1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead and manage a team of digital and strategy professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative environment across departments to achieve digital and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure continuous professional development and growth of team members.
  1. Reporting and Analytics:
  • Extensive knowledge of BI, SQL , Excel & other analytical tools
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of digital initiatives and campaigns.
  • Report on the success of customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue monetization efforts to senior management.

Use data-driven insights to optimize digital strategies and tactics for improved results.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

o   Bachelor of engineering / MBA / CFA / CA

o   Minimum 10 years experience in Telecom/Fintech

o   Experience in international telecom markets will be added advantage
