About Watan Development and Initiative Organization (WDIO)

Watan Development and Initiative Organization (WDIO) is a civil, nongovernmental, nonprofit, nonpolitical & an independent organization, it is founded by a team of professional & committed Afghan citizens in the year 2014. The main four areas for which the organization works are peace building & defending of human rights, education, health services and agriculture & livestock. We also work for enhancement of democracy, equal access to justice and services for women, reduction of domestic violence, rehabilitation of battered women and abused children. The organization was registered in the Ministry of Economy with the registration number # 3120 dated 02-02-2014. The organization works in Collaboration with other line Ministries, NGOs, INGOs, and Donor community. In order to organize and manage WDIO’s activities, it has a special logo, Articles of Association, Strategy, Policies, and Procedures in place. It has an appropriate Organizational Structure which consists of Directory and Advisory Boards? Advisory Board comprises the Director of the organization as the only member of the organization while the other members are nonpartisan or neutral experts. The Organization has a specific Strategic Mission & Vision which are described below.

Job Summary

The master trainer is responsible for teachers’ training and will deploy different types of training at the provincial, central, and district levels, he/she is also responsible for any kind of report on training and development of required training materials for CBE teachers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Training the Master Trainers/Trainers/Supervisors and other project-related staff in:
  • Planning and Scheduling for training.
  • Organizing a training workshop (logistics, finances, venue, refreshment, etc).
  • Preparing/designing the training materials and their use.
  • Pre and post-evaluation of the trainees for each training and reporting the synthesis of this exercise to the Education Officer and through PO to the Project Manager.
  • Preparing model lessons, model lesson plans, and their handouts.
  • Training the targeted trainees in methodology and other training packages specified for the project.
  • Be available in the partner training session to ensure partner trainers are supported, training is relevant, needs-based, and well organized, good training methods are implemented and trainees are satisfied.
  • Collect data on the training and impacts of the training.
  • Filing the records of WDIO training and writing reports on the activities he/she conducts.
  • Preparing/compiling individual training manuals for each training package mentioned below.
  • Learning about new training areas and training contents needed for the CBE, ALP, and other related programs.
  • Support the provincial education team and project Manager with any technical issues where they need.
  • Regularly visit the CBE and ALP classes whether the training contents are being implemented in the school/class/community environment to gauge the impact of the training delivered.
  • Any other tasks assigned by his line supervisor and accountable to senior management.


Job Requirements

  • Having at least Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Science, Business Administration, Communications or any other relevant field.
  • Having at least Three years’ experience from an accredited college or university and having a master degree will be preferred.
  • Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Fluent in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.  
  • Enough experience in designing and delivery of training.
  • Experience in preparing session plans for the short-term capacity-building training.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills and ability to work under stress to meet the objectives of the assignment.
  • Ability to establish good relations with all stakeholders.
  •  To have hands-on experience in computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop), other multimedia software, internet, and e-mail skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Pashto, and Dari languages.
  • Excellent writing, reading, and speaking skills in English, Dari, and Pashto languages.
  • Strong typing skills in English and local languages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
