Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international, non-profitable, non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its head quarter in Birmingham, UK. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.
Job Summary
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and learning Assistant will be responsible for leading IRA output and outcome data collection tools, data collection process, oversight and visit to project sites. She/he is also responsible for the implementation of MEAL tools (project logframe, MEAL plan/MEAL matrix, project ITT, PDM trackers, project checklists and questionnaires). S/he will be expected to share project information and keep project MIS updated.
Duties & Responsibilities
Keep the project datasheets and day to day data needs of the IRW and partners management updated.
Responsible to monitor the beneficiary selection process, assessments and surveys carried out for IRW and partners.
Responsible for managing HMIS and sharing project data with country office for donor reports
Provide summary reports of Field visits in addition to the forms and checklist She will be responsible to complete them
Assist in Developing program and operational reporting templates that facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of information in programs.
Provide assistance in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning data collection, and data delivery to the MEAL Officer
Facilitate documentation and reporting of assessments, program data, lessons learnt and best practices for internal and external sharing.
Conducting right holders’ verification survey
Conduct PDM survey in the all-targeted area
Develop and maintain effective information database on projects, providing resource and necessary support for program inputs and outputs.
Using KoBo data collection tools and familiarity with the digital data collection platform.
Conducting Data cleaning, analysis and drafting charts.
Support on day-to-day basis data analysis for different programmes as per the MEAL officer and MEAL coordinator guidance.
Support in analysing quantitative data and formulating interactive dashboards.
Support in designing FGDs and analyzing narrative reports.
Circulation and presentation of analysed data to program colleagues.
Use of secondary data for enhancing reports content and validation purposes.
Support CFM process and database and integrate the data from IRW CFM with other assessment and data collection sources.
Usage of advanced and digital based data collection and data analysis methods.
Support area office gap filling when necessary.
Support program database officers in data entry and processing when necessary.
Training of enumerators on data collection and data analysis.
Contribute to tool design based on lessons learnt from data quality.
Contribute to lessons learnt and data usage through attending recommendations formulation workshops and debriefs.
Any other tasks assigned by line manager
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, education, agriculture, Health and Computer Science or any other related or degree or certificate in M&E.
Special training and software knowledge will be given preference.
Experience:
Minimum 1–2-year progressive working experience related to mobile data collection, data analysis and field monitoring.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative data methods is mandatory.
Good communication, negotiation, analytical and report writing skills.
Good computer skills Windows/MS Office/Excel and command on using statistical packages.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of standards for implementation of projects.
Proficiency in Pashto and Dari along with fair level of understanding of English language
Good interpersonal and social skills
