BILTEK Afghan, Multi Location
The Mechanical Engineer will be under direct supervision of the Construction Section of Biltek Organization; the employee will be responsible for overall Mechanical aspects of construction projects and report directly to Senior Mechanical engineer or Project Manager of Biltek Organization.
The Mechanical Engineer is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Preparatory and Follow up meeting in the site for whole activities.
Preparing submittal to Consultant for approval
Ensure all the activities in the site are going on as per drawings
against approved drawing and scope of work
Work directly in Water Supply and Sanitary Sewer collection and Distribution Systems implementation.
Create engineering drawings and specifications for new components, products, and mechanical designs.
Work directly with Operations, Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Sales and executive management.
Responsible for HVAC System and its device like Air handling unit, AU, ACU, FCU, CUH, SA, CU, HUM CF, UH, different Exhaust fans, Split Unit, Different Louver, different Dampers, Duct with Supply diffuser, Energy Recovery unit, Exhaust or Return, different Grills, Hood with Exhaust and Supply fan and its related devices installation and inspection.
Work in close coordination with Senior Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, and other project staff.
a. Education
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field is required.
b. Work Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience providing Mechanical & Water Supply system services for multi-disciplined engineering, construction or construction management companies.
- Strong technical background and working knowledge of construction work.
- Good analytical capability and attention to detail within calculations, checking and summarizing.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, the scope of works, etc.
- Experience and involve in all Mechanical aspects such as HVAC, Fire Protection System, Gas system, Water Supply & Sewer System, Radiators Fin Tube installation, etc…
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills and ability to coordinate the work of others, work on tight deadlines, and handle multiple concurrent activities.
- High degree of personal initiative and willingness to accept wide responsibilities;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
- Excellent communication skills (spoken, written and presentational), including the ability to present sensitive issues/positions and to write reports and technical decisions quantitatively justified;
- Proficiency in the usage of computers, office software packages and advanced design management software.
- Excellent Knowledge with international Codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, IPC, UL, FPC and AED design).
- Excellent knowledge of Dari, Pashto and both written and oral English is required
