About Asia Lab Medical Diagnostic Laboratories

Asia Lab medical diagnosis chain laboratories established in 2017 and launched its branches in the different provinces of Afghanistan such as Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif, Ghor, Takhar, etc. Asia Lab started its operation under the authorization of Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan. Asia Lab is suppling high quality diagnosis services across Afghanistan by benefiting from the skilled and knowledgeable personnel. These laboratories are supplying services in the different sections including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Parasitology, Serology, Mycology, Endocrinology, Histology, Pathology, PCR, Virology, Enzymology and blood bank. Asia Lab has been equipped to the modern laboratory machinery and equipment and by using the newest diagnosis methods, is trying to improve medical diagnosis in Afghanistan. Job Summary

We are looking for four skilled and professional individuals to work in a medical laboratory who can perform well in a healthcare environment. As a professional staff member in the medical laboratory, your goal will be to successfully carry out laboratory tests.

Microbiologist: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Microbiologist (MSc in Microbiology) to join our laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing microbiological tests, ensuring quality control, analyzing samples, and maintaining laboratory standards. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a commitment to accuracy in testing procedures.

Hematologist:

We are seeking a qualified Hematologist (MSc in Hematology) to join our laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing hematological tests, analyzing blood samples, ensuring quality control, and maintaining laboratory standards. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and precision in hematology-related testing procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Microbiologists:

• Perform microbiological tests on clinical, environmental, and food/water samples as required.
• Identify and isolate microorganisms using culture techniques, biochemical tests, and molecular methods.
• Conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing and interpret results.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control and compliance with laboratory standards.
• Prepare and analyze culture media, reagents, and other necessary laboratory materials.
• Ensure proper documentation of test results, maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and biosafety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in research, development, and validation of new microbiological testing methods.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding test results and findings.
• Stay updated with advancements in microbiology, laboratory technology, and relevant regulations.

Hematologist:

• Perform routine and specialized hematological tests, including CBC, peripheral blood smear analysis, coagulation tests, and bone marrow examinations.
• Operate and maintain automated hematology analyzers and flow cytometry instruments.
• Interpret blood test results, identify abnormalities, and provide diagnostic support to physicians.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and quality control of hematology equipment.
• Follow quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures to maintain high laboratory standards.
• Document and report test results accurately, ensuring compliance with laboratory regulations.
• Maintain a safe laboratory environment by adhering to biosafety and infection control protocols.
• Stay updated with advancements in hematology, laboratory technology, and accreditation guidelines.
• Collaborate with other laboratory departments to ensure integrated and accurate diagnostics.

Job Requirements

Microbiologists:

• Experience with molecular diagnostics (PCR, RT-PCR).
• Knowledge of ISO 15189 or other lab accreditation standards.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS

Hematologist:

• Experience with flow cytometry, molecular hematology (PCR), and specialized coagulation studies.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor in Medical Technology – 2 positions
• Master in Hematology – 1 position
• Master in Microbiology – 1 position
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meeting of deadlines
• One year of experience in related fields.
