The Afghan Wireless Company is the first and the biggest GSM provider in Afghanistan.
-This job Designation describes the duties of Metal Detector Operator to provide Manual clearance of suspected areas as part of the ferrous clearance.
-Metal detector Operators needed to do the ground survey and detect trenching rout for underground utility like buried metal, electrical cable, pipe line…etc.
-Conduct ground scanning for any underground cavity or minerals.
-Respect procedures in accordance with the standard Operating Procedures.
-Maintains equipment by performing routine and emergency maintenance.
-Willingly and cooperatively responds to outside plan and emergency calls as needed.
-Able to travel and work in remote areas and regions of Afghanistan where appropriate.
-All other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for making the report of scanned areas problems with the site safety management system to identify cavities, metals and minerals.
• this position has the responsibility to authority to initiate and record actions
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of MAKRON METAL DETECTORS policies and requirements to complete all monitoring and/or verifications tasks as outlined by the NRD safety Management.
• Timesheets / Time Clocking accurately completed daily.
• Site Report Sheets completed accurately.
• Reports all site job efficiently and accurately on return to workshop or on job completion.
• To carry out all work to the highest trade standards.
• To work as directed by Supervisor / Managers. Other associated tasks may be delegated to address work demand from time to time.
• Ensure adherence to quoted and specified scope of work and component supply.
• To share knowledge and skills, and give advice to co-workers as necessary for the betterment of quality workmanship and production for the Company.
• At all times represent the AWCC in a responsible, professional manner.
• To be conversant with and adhere to the AWCC core values, policies including house rules and quality system requirements, safety regulations and all applicable legislation.
• Report all issues to the Manager / Director of NRD.
Highly skilled technical and mechanical ability, with proficiency in use of all hand tools, machinery, diagnostic and performance testing equipment
The ability to communicate knowledgeably and professionally with and Company personnel.
Versatility and a willingness to learn new methods and product to suit changing technology and workshop demands is a requirement.
Ability to meet deadlines performs under stress and achieve optimum results.
Ability to effectively function as a team player in projects in positive attitude.
Able and willing to be on call and work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Able to perform physical job duty such as work in confined spaces.
