Job Summary

Provide curative services to patients according to BPHS/National Health policy.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Must be regular and punctual on work with > 96% attendance
2.Responsible to provide IEC for the clients
3.To provide actively the maternal and child health care services
4.To prepare the monthly report about Family planning, ante and post natal consultations and to
5.Use every day the Tally sheet and HMIS forms.
6.To make a complete Ante natal examination (general examination, abdominal exam, vaginal exam, if necessary, check the vaccination card for T.T)
7.To identify the women with high risk pregnancy and to refer to the doctor if necessary
8.To prescribe the preventive treatment to the women according the protocols and to explain the treatment
9.Patient/family as required in the units
10.Ensures patient and family compliance with treatment and health education
11.To give the date of the next visit to the woman and explain her importance of coming
To make specific health education according the status of the pregnancy (delivery kits post natal visit, vaccination, nutrition, risk signs...)
12.To speak with the woman in order to manage the delivery (who, when how, with what...)
13.To follow the post natal consultation and identify the problems and treat
14.Act in proper way in family planning advices and implementation
15.To ensure the asepsis and antisepsis method in cleaning and manipulation of medical equipments and delivery room

Job Requirements

1. Afghan National
2. Graduated from Midwifery school
3. At least 2 years experiences
4. Fluency in local languages Pashto and Dari
