Under the Direct Supervision of Aynak Copper Project and Cadastre Directorate, Mining engineers assess the feasibility and productivity of potential mine locations and plan, manage and optimize the extraction of surface and underground deposits.
1. Develop an action plan based on jo responsibilities.
2. A mining engineer ensures the safe and efficient development of mines and other surface and under - ground operations. The role combines an understanding of the effects of these structures on their surrounding environment, as well as technical knowledge and management skills.
3. Mining Engineer is involved at all stage of a project. Before a new site is developed, they assess its viability and assist with planning the mine’s structure.
4. The Mining Engineer manages and oversea mining production processes and is involved in the final closure and rehabilitation process.
5. The Mining engineer is involved in the mineral discovery stage by working with geologists to identify a mineral reserve.
6. The mining engineer may manage any phase of Mining operations from exploration and discovery of the mineral resource, through feasibility study, mine design, development of plans, production and operation to mine closure.
7. The Mining engineer is involved with the process of mineral extraction, some amount of waste and uneconomic material are generated which are the primary source of pollution in the vicinity of mines. Mining activities by their nature cause a disturbance of the natural environment in and around which the minerals are located.
8. Mining Engineer must therefore be concerned not only with the production and processing of mineral commodities, but also with mitigation of damage to the environment both during and after mining as a result of the change in the mining area.
9. Proper reporting to the head of Ainak Copper project and Cadastre Directorate.
10. Any other task assigned by the senior management.
Bachelor degree in (Mine and Geology, Chemical Technology and any other related fields) and Master degree in fields are high encouraged.
3-5 years of working experience with Government and donor funded projects
Excellent verbal and written language skills (Dari, Pashto and English).
Familiars with MS. Office.
Identify and define technical and administrative problems, identify and evaluate alternative solutions, and select and implement the best alternative
Prepare plan correction reports
Review proposed projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Communicate effectively in oral and written form
