Job Summary

Social Development & Better Future for Afghanistan Organization (SDBFAO) has recently sign an agreement with Embassy of Finland under the Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC), which is a financing instrument of the Embassy of Finland for small development projects implemented by local organizations in Afghanistan. The agreement is to implement a project under the title of Women Business Promotion Project (WBPP) in Balkh Province with duration of one year - with objective to create 300 home-based job for IDPs and host community women in Balkh province – districts of Nahrishahi and Dehdadi. This project will provide vocational training of wool spinning with modern wool spinning wheel, embroidery designing and tailoring designing for women and girls.
The trainers are responsible to provide modern wool spinning training using wood made wool spinning wheel to 100 female IDPs and host community in Dehdadi and Nahrishahi districts ( in five different training locations)

Duties & Responsibilities

Introduction of un-spun wool to trainees considering the quality, color and origin of supply.

Description of economic importance of spun wool and usages.

Introduction of wool spinning hand-wheel to the trainees plus function.

Preparation of wool and processing steps (i.e. value chain process)

All wool spinning processes shall be properly trained to the participants.

Spun and un-spun quality check methodology shall be trained to beneficiaries.

To make sure all participants are aware of health and safety requirement during practical assignments.

Regular practical assignment and quality check.

Job Requirements

Uneducated

Prefer will be given to educated trainers
To have good skills of wool spinning with at least 2 years of working experience at the village level.
