Job Summary

The MoneyGram Project Officer will oversee and manage a variety of projects related to MoneyGram’s operations, ensuring seamless execution from initiation through completion. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, handling project timelines, and ensuring that all projects meet the established objectives, quality standards, and financial goals. This individual will be a key player in supporting MoneyGram’s expansion, efficiency, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and coordinate MoneyGram-related projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage the project's scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Organize regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to update on project progress and gather feedback.
  • Address concerns and issues raised by stakeholders and work toward solutions.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with teams across different departments such as Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and IT to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Facilitate collaboration and ensure resources are effectively utilized.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks to project success and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior management as needed.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within the allocated financial resources.
  • Ensure all financial aspects of the project are tracked and documented.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and financial reports.
  • Provide regular updates to management on project status and performance.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the quality standards set by MoneyGram and the stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the outcome and identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or a related field. A Project Management certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.


Experience:

  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience preferred in financial services, with a focus on banks and International money transfer operations.
  • Proven experience working with MoneyGram or similar money transfer services.
  • Experience working with commercial banks is a strong plus.


Skills:

  • Fluent at English and local lingual.
  • Logical reasoning.
  • Well issue solving skill.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • A team player who demonstrates patience, flexibility and honesty.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Be willing and able to meet tight deadlines and work long hours when required.


Qualification and Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand client needs and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Salesforce knowledge is a plus).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events (if applicable).
